car show

Tuesday, pretty boring. its about 11am, reading newspaper at office and someone called me, my supervisor or also known as the vice consular.

VC: " Finn, how much is the car show ticket?"
Finn: "errr....its $15 bucks...jom..mahu pergi?"
VC:" Look around, look at watch... ok, jom.."

And its still office hours, 2 of us walked out the office and catch the bus down to the convention centre. Time 12:30pm. Office Lunch break is at 1pm-2pm.

Arrive there, walk around look see look see, come to one interesting booth which I have been looking for sometimes. Reverse car camera which come with one bullet colour camera and a screen, its just replace the mirror with colour screen and also gives you a better view when reversing a big car. Anyway, then I saw this thing, Beltronics Speed detector. Hmm... how much it cost? That's the pic of it. Its RRP$1299 and currently special at $999.

promoter: "$999 is best price."
Finn:" I'm quite interested at it but just the price...errr... any better?"
Promoter:" are you the exhibitor here? I can do $950"
Finn: "Nope, I work at the Malaysia Consulate, I know exhibitor here will get special rate, so you should able to....you know..."
promoter: "I will get the big boss.......

after talking to the big boss, the big boss came to me, nice meeting you. yea, happy to do special for you $935.

Ok, deal. Wth... cut the story short, spent that in less than 30mins for a fully stealth speed detector. still waiting for it to arrive as its only out on market approx 4 weeks ago and still shortage. Will give a try when it arrives and post more about it.

We have bump into suzuki swift, Honda Jazz, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Prius, Toyota Corolla Ascent, Mitchubishi Colt, Subaruuuu... oh yea, the proton is there too, proton savvy, but not much people around compared to others.

We left there at 2:30pm and had our lunch at 3pm.... WTH, which office allow you to do that, gone out while office hours? haha...but we did...
